Hitachi-GE Nuclear Energy have attended the first review meeting for Principles of Conduct which was held on 7-8 December, 2011 at the Carnegie Moscow Center. In the meeting, Hitachi-GE Nuclear Energy together with other participating companies updated on its progress in implementing the Principles for past three months after its launch. Participating companies agreed to hold periodic review meetings in every six months to update progress in implementation, share and consider existing and evolving industry best practice, and review and modify the Principles as appropriate.

The participating companies agreed to create a Secretariat to facilitate regular communication among the participating companies, facilitate communication with the general public and plan review meetings. The Secretarial will gradually assume responsibilities for the coordination of the Principles of Conduct from the Carnegie Endowment, which facilitated the development of the Principles of Conduct. The Carnegie Endowment will remain as an advisor to the process moving forward.
