As experienced field personnel retire and opportunities for hands-on experience become more limited, maintaining the speed and effectiveness of on-site response has become an important industry challenge. To address this, we have launched the development of a simulator-based education and training platform.
The initiative is currently being implemented within the Hitachi Group to support personnel involved in plant restart readiness. Going forward, we will work closely with electric utilities to share training systems and related resources, helping strengthen workforce capability across the industry.
Using a glass-top simulator that replicates the main control room environment, we conduct behavior verification under a range of event scenarios during plant startup, as well as response training tailored to individual departments and teams.
